In this article, I am going to share with you a natural remedy which includes fenugreek, along with other important ingredients.

So let’s get started.

The best part about this hair mask is that it would hardly take 10 to 15 minutes to prepare.

You can either make a fresh batch every time you want to apply this hair mask or you can make a little extra and store it in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days by refrigeration.

I prefer to make a fresh batch every time I want to use it.

Fenugreek Hair Mask Recipe

For one time use the quantity of ingredients would be:

  • 1 tsp of Fenugreek seeds (preferably overnight soaked seeds) or if you have fenugreek seeds powder you can use that too.
  • 1 tbsp of either a paste of freshly plucked hibiscus flowers or dried hibiscus powder(I’m using dried hibiscus powder which I made at home by sun-drying freshly plucked flowers)
  • 1 tbsp of dried Indian Gooseberry (Amla) powder which is going to be the main binding agent in our hair pack.
  • A handful of freshly plucked curry leaves or 1 tbsp of dried curry leaves powder.
  • 1 tsp of dried Ixora leaves powder.

(Note: Where I live, Ixora and Hibiscus are commonly available. If they are not available in your region you can try finding them on amazon or any other local store. I am not sure if you would get Ixora leaves powder easily, but if you need you can contact me.)

  • 2 to 3 inches of Aloe vera leaf. ( If you don’t find a fresh leaf you can use 2 to 3 tbsp of aloe vera gel preserved with vitamin E or honey as well.)

How to Make Hair Mask?

Grind all the ingredients in a mixer until they form a uniform consistency.

Add 2 to 3 tbsp of curd to it and make a fine past. (The exact quantity of the curd that can be used depends on the consistency you require.)

How to Apply Hair Mask?

Apply this paste on the scalp and massage lightly. (Watch the video on how to do so)

Apply some on hair too and tie your hair by wrapping a cloth or wear a shower cap so that the paste doesn’t spill or spoil your linens or clothes.

Leave it on for an hour. (Meanwhile continue with your work.)

Once the hair pack is completely dried, wash your hair with cold water using a mild herbal shampoo or anything of your choice.

Let the hair dry naturally without using a hair dryer.
